Seminar at the Ole Miss Honors College

Cathy and I had the opportunity to give two seminars at the Ole Miss Honors College this past Wednesday. It's crazy to see how much the campus and town have changed. I haven't gotten a good look since I was in high school back in the day. Anyway, one talk at noon, one at four, each lasting about an hour and a half. Overall, a great experience, and our first real college seminar. I spent the first hour discussing the basics of memory techniques and walking through various examples applying them to learning (including an in-depth example using the local student union as our memory palace). Hour #2 consisted of questions and a workshop in which Cathy and I milled around helping students brainstorm strategies for specific topics: material for upcoming midterms in Organic Chemistry, Sociology, Greek, etc. Thanks to everyone who came out!
